CM Partners is a leading private equity firm that invests in profitable, well-managed, small to medium-sized businesses in Canada and the US. Since our founding in 2017, we have invested over $150 million of equity capital. CM Partners is currently investing its second fund with over $200 million of committed capital. We provide buyout as well as growth equity to help our partners achieve next-level growth.
We look for opportunities in the following sectors: Business Services, Consumer, Industrial, and Travel & Leisure. In addition to capital, we bring operating expertise, global perspective, and data-driven approach to add value for our portfolio companies. Our target EBITDA ranges from $5 to $30 million.

UNDERWRITE COMPLEXITY
Where others see risk and complexity, we often see opportunity. We have significant experience underwriting investments that have exposures to cyclical industries, regulatory changes, high capital spending, weather-dependence, etc., just to name a few.
CONSERVATISM
Typical private equity firms use high amounts of debt to boost returns. We prefer a more conservative approach. Our investments are structured with a moderate amount of debt to enhance returns and maintain flexibility. We have never had a portfolio company failure or missed debt payment.
VALUE INVESTING
Our investment philosophy is grounded in value investing. Finding and creating value is at the heart of what we do. As partners, we often create significant value through operational improvements, M&A and continued investments.
